These materials have been published by the government to show what the 2016 Science Sampling tests for Year 6 will look like.
The results of the tests will not give National Curriculum levels, which no longer exist, but will give a scaled score instead.
As this is a sampling test, not all schools will be required to administer it to their pupils. We will be notified if we have to administer it.
These materials are designed to give teachers an indication of how the new curriculum will be assessed from 2016. They reflect areas of the curriculum that have changed, therefore the questions may be unfamiliar or more challenging. The document doesn't cover the full range of content or range of difficulty that the final test will assess.
