We expect all children to wear black, practical "school" shoes.

These are the type of shoes most widely available, and they are also available at reasonable cost from supermarkets and shoe "warehouses".

It is very important that children wear proper shoes to school to protect their feet.

In common with many other schools, we do not allow children to wear trainers during the school day, although we do expect them as part of PE Kit.

Sandals in the summer

In the summer term, we get lots of questions about sandals. Children can wear either black, brown or white sandals, but they must be flat, have a back and protect the feet. Flip flops are not allowed.

Boots in the winter

During the winter, we get lots of questions about boots. Children can wear either black or brown ankle boots, but they must be plain and flat. Knee-high boots, including Ugg-style boots, are not appropriate for school and are not allowed. Hi-top trainer boots are also not allowed.
